A Very Special Birthday
By Cecile Lu Princess Blossom lives in a castle with her The maids worked for 2 days to get the ballroom ready; the cooks cooked for a whole day with out stopping; the waiters got into their best suits. King Henry wanted Princess Blossom's party to be perfect. Secretly, he wanted Princess Blossom to fall in love- with none other- but Prince Achilles! He wanted to make the 2 kingdoms join together, and Arthur had agreed. Now let me tell you something. King Henry's best friend in school days is King Arthur. So now, King Arthur and King Henry wanted to live together for the rest of their older days. So it was said that Princess Blossom and Prince Achilles was going to join the kingdoms together. On that special day, Princess Blossom was told to get ready for the party. Her father had written her a note: Dear Sweetheart Blossom, So Princess Blossom wore her best gown, a beautiful glittering pink dress, and wore her best pink shoes with a heart on each, she wore her most beautiful jewelry, which was silver with pink hearts on them. She then put on glittering pink gloss, eye shadow that she had applied glitter to, and then she called her maid in to fix her hair. Her beautiful wavy long hair was curled slightly and put into a bun, with some curvy stray strands. When she finally finished getting ready, she was so beautiful that no artist could paint her; no toy maker could make a doll or Barbie as pretty as her. Meanwhile, at King Arthur's castle, Prince Achilles was getting ready as well. He had gotten a couple glimpses of her, and had fallen in love immediately. He wanted to look his best so Princess Blossom could like him. So he slicked down his hair with gel and made himself look handsome; he wore his best suit of clothing. When he finished, he went to his carriage with the white palomino horse. Over at King Henry's kingdom, Princess Blossom was ready to show herself in front of a crowd how big, she did not know. Finally, she heard the clock strike 11: 30 and heard horse hooves patter on the floor. She waited. And then, she heard the clock strike midnight. Princess Blossom walked slowly toward the porch. She was nervous, yes, but she couldn't show her fear, for she thought it would not make a good appearance. So she walked, and stumbled a bit, toward the porch. Then, she heard a gong sound. Her father said outside somewhere, "Now, the Princess Blossom will come out! Come out, Blossom!" So Princess Blossom walked formally out to the porch. She noticed that the Grand Ballroom was quite crowded, but here and there was a big space. She went to her father, who was standing in the middle of the porch. She noticed that everyone was looking at her. Suddenly, she saw a familiar face, sitting on a small throne. Her father only used that throne for important guests! She squinted. And she then found that sitting in that small throne was King Arthur! She better make a good appearance. She kept quiet. She muttered, "What do I have to do?" to her father. "You will have to make a speech." Her father replied. "What do I say?" she asked worriedly. "That's up to you." King Henry replied. Princess Blossom stood in front of the microphone. "Good Evening, everybody! I hope you will all have a good time at my party! There are refreshments over there in the back, if you are hungry. Now, on with the party! Band, please put on a waltz song!" So the party started. The people went off to find pairs. The band struck up a slow waltzing song, and they all started to waltz. She noticed that only King Arthur and somebody else had not started to waltz. King Henry said in her ear, "Blossom, come with me." King Henry led her through the waltzing people toward King Arthur. Then, King Henry said, "Blossom, this man is King Arthur." Princess Blossom curtsied to King Arthur and King Arthur nodded slightly. "And this person, is Prince Achilles." King Henry beckoned to a young man that was standing next to King Arthur. Blossom curtsied again to Prince Achilles. Prince Achilles bowed. King Arthur said, "You two, run along, now, King Henry and I want to talk about our child hood days." Prince Achilles and Princess Blossom walked slowly away from their parents. They could not speak. Prince Achilles thought, 'She is prettier that what I have seen so far of her!' and Princess Blossom thought, 'This man is the man I have dreamed about.' It was love at first sight! Finally, Prince Achilles spoke. "Would you like to dance?" he asked, kneeling down on the floor. "Certainly, my lord," Princess Blossom replied. They waltzed slowly, 1 song after the other. King Arthur and King Henry watched them and smiled. King Arthur said, "Looks like we are spending our days together again!" So, not soon after that, Prince Achilles and Princess Blossom were married. They joined the 2 kingdoms, became king and queen, and they lived Happily Ever After.
