Horses... In an Alien's point of View
by Cecile

Leader: You are to go to the distant planet, Earth, and find out all you can about what the stupid humans call horses. You are to come back in one year. Do not fail me.

One Year Later

Alien Child #1: On Earth, there is a type of animal that stands on 4 feet, has a tail and a mane. It is called a horse.

Alien Child #2: There are many different breeds of horses. They have many different colors, including white, brown, black, and tan. There is also a sandy color.

Alien Child #1: The brutal humans there always sit on the slink back of the horses. Then they gather a lot of them together and they have a race! And when the horses are slowing down, the mean humans hit them with a stick that looks like this! (producing a stick)

Leader: Where do the horses live?

Alien Child #2: They live in big boxes with a pointed roof. The humans call those boxes: barns.

Leader: Tell me more about the breeds.

Alien Child #1: There are many, many types of breeds. The type that humans race the most is called Quarter Horses. They have very broad shoulders and the English Settler Humans race them for a quarter mile. The horse can be found in many different colors, but reddish brown is the most common.

Leader: What are baby horses called?

Alien Child #2: Baby horses are called foals, but foals must be under one year old. Then, the male baby horses are called Colts, but they must be older than 1. The females have no other name that we know of.

Leader: How do you care for a horse?

Alien Child #1: I have dressed up as a farmer's son and gone to work with him. It seems that they go into the barn thing, then they give the horses these yellow grass called hay and they also give them water in a bucket. The horses are forced to drink out of a bucket! And, also, the farmers put another kind of yellow grass on the floor, that is called straw.

Alien Child #2: When the horses get ready for a big race, the farmers waste many buckets of water to wash them. The farmers also use this foamy white stuff to clean them. Then they take this toothpick to get out dirt, mud, and stones out of the horse's feet.

Leader: That is enough. Those humans are brutal enough. We must go through a plan so all the horses can roam free!!! MUST!!!!!!!!!
